With SecureSave, individuals get the world’s first purpose-built emergency savings account, developed from the ground up. We work with employers of all sizes to develop a new type of workplace savings program focused on emergency savings --much like an HSA or 401K, but for short term, emergency savings. SecureSave has been live with employers for 9 months and has already seen tremendous traction; and we have positioned ourselves as the industry leader in emergency savings with regards to technology and results. This has created tremendous demand from some of the leading financial services and employee benefits companies to seek partnerships with Secure, and is the perfect time to help us build out this part of our business.

Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to drive revenue through new partnerships. Identify and develop new partners for SecureSave and our emergency savings solution, including ownership of the full lifecycle of sales channel partner development and management--from identifying and engaging prospective partners, to solidifying commercial partnership agreements, to onboarding and managing relationships that drive revenue growth for both parties. Work closely with our CEO to evaluate existing and potential partners, vet their capabilities, and identify areas for growth. Collaborate with team members across SecureSave to review partnership opportunities and technical requirements, and provide sales and support planning.

This position requires the ability to develop partnerships across a range of financial and employee benefits related companies including leading banks, credit unions, benefits brokers, 401K advisors and recordkeepers, and payroll providers. Excellent listening and communication skills are critical to understand partner needs and build relationships at an executive level. Experience developing go-to-market models, defining integration and services / sales requirements, and negotiating contracts also required. Key characteristics for success are initiative, collaboration, and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue through channel and joint-development partnerships
  • Identify and initiate discussions with potential new partners
  • Understand the businesses and needs of our partners and appropriately represent our products and capabilities
  • Build effective working relationships with our partners at all levels
  • Create and deliver growth opportunity presentations
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and terms
  • Develop and execute go-to-market launch plans
  • Work with partners to forecast future revenue based on agreed plans
  • Work closely with product, engineering, sales, client service and legal on projects and deals

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business or a related field
  • Successful work experience in revenue-generating sales or partnership channel role
  • 10+ years of business work experience
  • 3-5+ years of partnership and channel management and development related work experience
  • Industry experience in fintech, benefits or workplace savings specifically. A network of personal connections in this space is a plus.
